Wholesale Jumping Spider – Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
At SPOODIES UK LTD, we take great care in the packing and dispatch of all wholesale jumping spider orders. However, as we supply live invertebrates, inherent risks are involved during transit.
This Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy applies strictly to wholesale customers only.
1. DOA Reporting Requirements
To be eligible for a DOA claim, all of the following conditions must be met.
1.1 Notification Timeframe

You must notify SPOODIES UK LTD within 1 hour of the parcel being accepted or marked as delivered.

All claims must be submitted via:
wholesale.spoodies.co.uk -
Claims submitted outside this timeframe, or without full supporting evidence, will not be considered.
1.2 Eligible Life Stages
-
This DOA policy applies only to spiders L4 and above.
-
Slings - L3 Stage are excluded from DOA coverage due to their fragile nature.

By ordering slings, you acknowledge that you do so entirely at your own risk and accept these terms in full.
2. Evidence Requirements (Mandatory)
2.1 Unboxing Video
A continuous, unedited video of the entire unboxing process is required.

Recording must begin before the outer shipping box is opened.
-
The video must continue without interruption until the spider’s pot/tub/sling is fully visible.
-
The video must clearly show you gently tapping the container to demonstrate no movement from the spider.
⚠️ Edited, paused, cut, or unclear videos will be rejected.
2.2 Photo Evidence

A clear, well-lit photograph of the specific pot/tub/sling containing the deceased spider must be submitted alongside the video.
3. Delivery Conditions
DOA claims are automatically void if any of the following occur:

Failed, missed, delayed, refused, or rescheduled deliveries

Parcels not accepted on the first delivery attempt

Delays caused by:
-
The recipient
-
Courier redelivery attempts
-
Incorrect delivery information
-
Third-party handling
-
4. Refunds, Replacements & Store Credit
For spiders confirmed as DOA and meeting all policy requirements, SPOODIES UK LTD will offer one of the following:

A refund equal to the value of the deceased spider
-
A replacement spider of equal value (subject to availability)
-
Store credit equal to the value of the deceased spider
Important Notes:

Shipping costs are non-refundable.
-
If a replacement is selected, all shipping costs must be paid by the customer.
5. Slings & Natural Loss Disclaimer

There is no guarantee that a sling will survive to maturity.
-
Slings are sold with the understanding that natural losses may occur.
-
No guarantees, refunds, replacements, or credit are provided for slings beyond the DOA window.
-
Once the 1-hour reporting window has expired without a valid claim submitted via wholesale.spoodies.co.uk, all responsibility transfers to the buyer.
6. Limitation of Liability
Any claim, loss, or liability brought against SPOODIES UK LTD, whether relating to DOA, transit, or the supply of live animals, is strictly limited to the value of the deceased spider only.
SPOODIES UK LTD shall not be liable for:

Consequential or indirect losses

Loss of profit, business, or reputation

Costs associated with care, housing, feeding, or onward resale
-
Courier delays or failures beyond our control
7. Policy Enforcement

Claims submitted outside the 1-hour reporting window will be automatically rejected.

Failure to comply with any part of this policy renders a DOA claim invalid.

This policy is strictly enforced to prevent abuse and ensure fairness across all wholesale customers.
Acceptance of Terms
By placing a wholesale order with SPOODIES UK LTD, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this DOA policy in full.
